About The Artist

Born and raised in Patterson, CA, Brian's interest in art began at a very young age. He would spend hours drawing or sketching whatever came to his five year old mind.  Always a fan of the newspaper's Sunday comics, Brian often sketched out his own silly versions of Calvin and Hobbes or Garfield to impress his older family members.

As his artistic skills grew, Brian began showcasing his talent by winning awards, designing book covers, designing t-shirts, and an array of work around his hometown. However, at the end high school, rather than pursue the artist path, Brian joined the U.S. Army.

While in the Army, Brian's talent did not go unnoticed. During basic training, his drill sergeant discovered Brian's ability, and put him to work painting murals all throughout the barracks. Even during wartime deployments in Iraq, Brian found himself painting murals at the request of his commanding officers.

In 2004, Brian left the military, and set out to pursue his career in art. In more recent years, Brian has worked in television graphics, freelance design work, and education. He currently teaches 7th and 8th grade math and science in Clovis, CA. In his free time, he can be found writing and illustrating his various children's books.
